Elmibit, a digital agriculture solutions company and provider of two farm management software platforms, will enable grape and mandarin orange growers to share crop production data through dRural Marketplace.
We are pleased to announce that we are among the winners of the dRural open call offering complex services on dRural Marketplace in the Dubrovnik-Neretva region. Our services will enable grape and mandarin orange growers from the Dubrovnik-Neretva region to collect production data and offer them a new business model by allowing crop data exposure through dRural Marketplace. This will enable farmers to become more transparent about crop production and increase crop sales through shorter value chains.
dRural is an EU-funded project to co-develop and rolls up a digital service marketplace for people living in rural areas while creating jobs and opportunities for economic growth and quality-of-life improvement. Although rural areas make up half of Europe and represent around 20 % of the population, most of them are also among the least favored regions in the EU, with a GDP per head significantly below the European average. Thus dRural aims to inject new chances for the development of European rural areas and communities.
Within the dRural project, Elmibit will offer services to farmers in the rural Dubrovnik-Neretva region to, on the one hand, enable the digitalization of their crop production and, on the other hand, to help them create new business opportunities.
